Istanbul Notebook – Metallic Burgundy

A Page Between Two Continents
There's only one city in the world that faces East and West at the same time. It is both Europe and Asia. Both history and today. Both the call to prayer and the cry of seagulls. That city is Istanbul, and on the cover of this notebook, its thousands of years of history live in a single drawing.
The Stories Hidden on the Cover
At the heart of the composition rises Hagia Sophia, with its majestic domes and four graceful minarets. Built as a church, it was later converted into a mosque, then a museum, and once again a mosque. It has witnessed every changing era and still remained itself. Stand beneath its dome, and you'll forget how time flows.
On the left, you can clearly make out the silhouette of the Süleymaniye Mosque, the masterpiece of the great architect Mimar Sinan. Standing on a hill overlooking the Golden Horn, it watches over the city as both guardian and crown. Step inside, and the noise of the world stays at the door.
On the right stands the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, with its elegant dome and six minarets. Known around the world as the "Blue Mosque", it's famous for its blue İznik tiles. You can almost feel their color even in this drawing.
In the very center, the small structure standing quietly on the water is the Maiden's Tower. It's a symbol of legends, love stories and a solitude that chose to become a lighthouse. Nothing captures Istanbul's lyrical melancholy more beautifully.
The bridge running through the middle of the drawing is the Bosphorus Bridge. It's a remarkable link between two continents, crossed by millions every day as giant tankers glide beneath it.
Along the lower part of the cover, the city's European shoreline comes to life: grand buildings reminiscent of Dolmabahçe Palace, wooden waterfront mansions and boats waiting at the ferry piers... The ferries crossing between the two shores and the waves rolling under the bridge capture the city's very breath.
At the bottom, a structure with a grand gateway evokes the imperial splendor of Istanbul, much like one of the monumental gates of Topkapı Palace. Step through, and you step into history.
